 POLYGAMY.


This is the practice or custom of having more than one wife at the same time.

They are different reasons which made a man to marry more than one wife:

Shortage of men.

If the husband is not sexually satisfied he may take another wife rather than turn to prostitute or an affair.

If the first wife is unable to reproduce.

If the man is financially stable.

Condition for polygamy.

The man who wants to be polygynous must have the capacity to be fair and just to all his wife..
